This week I installed a LED turn signal relay and installed an auxilillary switch. The switch is so that I can turn on my power port and charge my cell phone when the bike isn't running. Prior to this mod the power was only on while the bike was running due to the relay. Now I have a way to bypass the relay and power my gear when ever I want.

The little red switch powers the power port with the ignition off, However the port has power when the ignition is on.

Oh and the little switch lights up when power is on.

Next is some good cleaning. My bike looks pretty clean till you take a picture of it.

David, I guess that rust developed on the stay after you tried straightening it up. Treat it before it gets worse

Remove the stay, clean up the rust with sandpaper and blast the stay with some POR-15.

Actually when I heated it to straighten it the paint all cooked off and I know I need to repaint it, but have not gotten around to it.

I've got some stuff that you just spray on. It is supposed to transform the rest back into metal (their words not mine) and then you can just paint back over it. Trust be told, I've never had this fairing back off since I put it on. My old bike the fairing came off for all kids of maintenance, but because this bike has the faring inserts I've never needed to take it back off.

But your right I do need to get in there and beautify that little bugger.

Not sure what happened to my post.. ?

I've used the rust converter stuff a lot on a golf cart - works great. Just need to remove surface rust/flakes, though, so it can get at the stuff underneath..

Re-painted my rad covers after painting them badly in June. Shaped and painted the aux lights brakets, re-aimed the lights.

Changed to my cool weather windshield, washed it, cleaned and adjusted the chain, and installed an aux power receptacle.

Installed a 12 LED KnightRiderz NON sequential brake like in addition to the original.
Drilled a hole in the bottom of the license plate and mounted it there. It's probably not legal but I'm sure it's safer!

I just filled with gas and dodged bad drivers and police for 180 miles. You all have some nice looking bikes and very tasty mods. I'll clean the grasshopper guts off tomorrow morning and do it again.
