I was going to go for a ride for the afternoon and went back to the house to get some things and found a god damn screw in my fairly new tire. Now what?

Gummy worm Plug - Automotive type, it's a little larger dia than the one in my motorcycle kit (that leaked). Just replaced my repaired tire after 12k trouble free miles.

When I get new tires, I always get that tire slime stuff from wally world and put a couple of ounces in there too as a preventative measure. But I rode on a plugged rear for about 5k miles before I changed it. No worries.

Installed jwhelan65 radiator guard, took off the tail end to get it de-handled, solved my kinked fuel line with heat resistant epoxy, took Ivan's 'E' map off the shelf and did the test run and realized, though by numbers way rich, what a fantastic map it is....

Just stuffed a big ole gummy worm plug in my tire. It is holding pressure at 40PSI
When I ride I hope it holds.

I rode my FZ1 for the first time since June. Been and still am recovering from a ruptured tricep tendon. It felt GREAT!

Dude, no worries. I got a nail in a new (500 miles) Pilot Road on a road trip w/full gear...gummy wormed it and 13,495 miles later, it had to be replaced.

Added a Wolo high tone "Loud One" to my existing Wolo low tone "Loud One" horn and wired in a relay to handle the extra current. Holy crap is it LOUD!!! I think it will definitely send the drifting cagers back into their own lane.

You are going to find this to be very effective. When I use my horns, the cagers look around for a truck!

I took of my radiator guard that I purchased here and the bike is running alot cooler in traffic and on the highway. And last night I wrapped my headers to try and get the heat down some more. BTW, I bought a roll of DEI 1"x50 and it is not enough so I ordered a 2" roll in black off Ebay and Im gonnna wrap them again all the way back to the slip on.

Dave
During lunch at work I brought a couple of other riders out to check out the new horn set up. You had to see them jump. It was hilarious.

Got my 2" wrap in today and was able to wrap it all the way back to the now unused 02 sensor. Damn that shit stinks till it gets burned off and smokes like a mother! Pulled up to a stop light and had a lady actually ask me if I knew my bike was on fire while Im sitting in a cloud of smoke??? Got it home and painted it black with DEI header paint and it looks sinister now with the custom windscreen I made! And for anyone that has never wrapped a header before and is thinking about it, drop the roll in a bucket of water and apply it wet. The fabric is fiberglass and it will get all over you and itch like a mother! And if youre gonna do it, rather than have to try and roll that whole roll around and around (all 50 ft. of it) each pipe, it takes about 7ft. per pipe and you can use the last long one to wrap all the way back over all 4 pipes to the sensor. It really does lower the temps blowing back around you riding down the road and quiet down the ride. I wish I would have dyno'd it before but it always made a huge difference on all my turbo cars. Hot exhaust gasses=faster flowing is always what I was told.

Been riding mine hard with the guard on this week in 100+ degree days as a testimonial. I took it off today and road 30 miles in stop and go traffic there was about a 2 degree difference. Very insignificant even in this extreme heat..unless you rupture your radiator you are not going to burn this thing up...I put it back on... just my .02

Rode! Yay! After a week in Boston for work then a week in Seattle/WA for vacation, I missed my ride..

Met up with P and although our plans to hit the GA Dragon ( ) were dashed by rain, it still beats sitting home! Rain quit by the time I got to the dam, so I stopped for a coffee break. Stopped at my favorite french cafe in Roswell on the way home, and they had brie and chicken quiche today, so the showers we his weren't all bad! About 120 miles for me.
