I left the house this morning at 6:15 and returned home at 7:15 pm. TheWolfTamer and I met in Cumming and then went to Ellijay, Chatsworth, Copper Hill, Suches, and lastly Cleveland. Was a great day ! No mishaps, No GPS issues, and no tickets... And since we were around water on in mountains all day the temps weren't to bad either (Till the ride home) On the way home I caught a bit of rain, then the sun came out and it turned into a steam bath... Oh well to late at that point to complain (had too much fun and memories to worry about a little heat)
Total miles 359.6 Average Speed 48 mph (moving average)

I wish I would have the energy to ride and raft but theWolf is too fickle a companion. It was a nice day for it and I thought about it when we passed the rafters then later the tubers.

I walked past her and rubbed her gently. Told her that as soon as it cools off a little bit we would be out again.

Managed an easy 75 miles to work and back. Must admit, for 95+ day it seemed much cooler than I expected.

Tonight I finished my DIY fender eliminator by simply modifying the existing fender.
![]() ![]() Tucks in real nice and tight and still uses the stock blinkers and plate light. |

Steering head maintenance, and bar adjustment. All ready for a few thousand more miles.

Unfortunately, Fridays installs didn't go quite as smoothly as I had hoped. Power commander, K&N filter and radiator guard went nice and easily. I was too unsure of my abilities to get Ivan's FCE & AIS installed though.
I was planning on going to his shop this week to have them install (about four hours away), but decided to ask my local shop first, and they said they'd have no problem doing it for me. |

FINALLY mounted my T-rex frame sliders. One of my motor mount bolts wiggled out and is now resting forever on the side of the road somewhere...motivating me.

Installed Iridium plugs, Roth AIS block off plates and changed the coolant. What a PITA removing the smog plates, you can just swing an allen wrench about 1/3 turn at a time and the bolts are pretty long. My hands were tired by the time I got the old ones removed and new ones installed.

Snuck in a ride with my boy on back and a couple of friends riding cruisers. The pace was ok I guess, it gave me a bit of time to check out some scenery that I don't usually get to see.
Total Miles around 150. While out we went to a new airport that is close to my house. It is closed on weekends, so it was just us. This airport has 2 runways that are 2 miles long just begging for a top speed run. While I have figured out a way to get on the runway with my bike, I have not figured out a way to explain my actions to Home Land Security nor pay any fines and do possible jail time, so for now it is just very tempting.... Quote of the day "If your going to ride in a straight line you might as well see how fast you can go while doing it" said by my buddy that really wanted me to make a go of it.
