I worked on my repairs - Fixed the left rearset, mounted the headlight, and took it for a very short ride down the street to check brakes, front end, etc.. thankfully it initially feels good.
I will go work on it a bit more here shortly - My ribs don't like me doing too much at once..

FCE installed
I installed Ivan's FCE today!
Phew! That was (for me) a big job. Crimping is officially my least favourite task of all time. These instructions are very helpful. Test rode it. What a massive improvement! No more butt-clenching getting back on throttle, it is so much smoother. Gear changing is also improved, no longer have to find that neutral throttle position to smooth it out.

Today I installed my 3/16 shims to help my hyperpro damper clear the rizoma risers. !!FAIL!!! I had to add washers to get the needed clearence. I didn't realize the left side of the damper was a larger diamiter than the other. Thursday when I go back to work I will make new spacers at 1/4 in. Here are two pix, the first is the riser with the included washer(right) and my fabbed washer(left), next is installed with steering at full lock. Not a great pic but the best I could do in such a tight area. I will update when i install the new shims.

Installed a set of Shogun frame sliders. They make pretty decent highway legrests for a minute, so you can get the blood flowing below the knees again.

Last nite I took it to the local dragstrip. Just a 1/8th track, but man! That was fun! The adrenaline rush was incredible!

I rode my bike to and from work with my recently installed MRA Vario touring windscreen. It's short (like the stock windscreen) and works marvelously!!! My neck thanks me ten fold for the purchase.

Today I found out how easy it is to rock low RPM wheelies with cargo in my 40 liter top case.

Tried to shift it with a broken left big toe.
We're not riding for a little while.
