Cute pup, Glenn!

My favorite story about my puppy so far...

Celeste was walking Misha when she was just about 3 months old. A HUGE dump truck slowed down next to them, driving along at walking pace -- backing up traffic behind him.

Older crusty dude driving yells out at her: "She go'in dig!"
Celeste: "What?"
Older crusty dude: "She go'in dig!"
Celeste: "Oh, okay."
Older crusty dude: "She go'in dig, 'cause she's bored!"

Then he waved at her, she waved back, and he drove the dump truck on his merry way.

To this day, we still say "She go'in dig!" to each other, and laugh...

Wow they are great looking dogs!!!
A good friend had a shepherd many years ago, she dispelled all the myths I had heard about them, she was a beautifully affectionate, gentle dog.
And how cute is MIA?

Misha decided to crawl around on Celeste the other night. I captured some shots on the iPhone...

Yeah, I'm guessing Misha is mid-50 lbs. Maybe more... No scale in the house, so it's hard to tell!

This brings a tear to my eyes, This quote is on the plaque that now contains the ashes of a much loved loyal friend.

YOUR GERMAN SHEPHERD IS YOUR FRIEND, YOUR PARTNER, YOUR DEFENDER, YOUR DOG. YOU ARE HIS LIFE, HIS LOVE, HIS LEADER. HE WILL BE YOURS, FAITHFUL AND TRUE TO THE LAST BEAT OF HIS HEART. YOU OWE IT TO HIM TO BE WORTHY OF SUCH DEVOTION.

Desmo, We also have our "Shae`s" ashes on the dresser.

My partner does the same thing as you and she even gives her a kiss every night.

We have the ashes of three dogs, I believe, and when Mike goes, when that last bacon chili fried egg cheeseburger puts him away, I'm putting his ashes with the dogs. He always likes dogs better than people anyway.

My last dog Zoey is buried beneath a Japanese maple in the front yard-I look at the tree and think of my last favorite pooch.

I wish Lucas and Zoe could have know eachother they'd have been great friends and playmates.---of course you have to image that they're the same age or it doesn't work out right but you'all get the idea..

That's funny.

But any man would be proud to share such a place with his dogs.

My Shepherd may just be the most efficient way to convert dog food to dog hair known to man.

Man.

He loves it when I run the beater bar on his coat. It stuffs the vacuum big time.

Molting-- good times...

Oh yah, we call it plucking! You can grab handfuls of fur off her haunches. I wish we could vacuum her. How did you manage that? If I tried that with ours I'd been in the ER getting my arm reattached!

Yeah, we have hair EVERYWHERE -- and Misha isn't even full grown! Thank God for pergo -- we can just turn on a fan and have it all kind of tumble-weed into a corner. Less sweeping that way!

Anybody have a link to a good vacuum brushing system? I think she'd be OK with it if we hid the motor part in a closet or something...

I used to use a shop vac and a "rake" on 'Mo. Since she was a long hair, I mostly
just sucked the hair off the rake as I was combing her. She didn't mind at all.
