I had just never seen a lens that long before. I don't think I would ever buy an f/8+ lens anyway.

you can see some "softness" around his head (cut me some slack, the little dude was bookin'
), but that would not be noticeable in a 4x6, 5x7, or even 8x10 print, so deemed negligible imo, especially since i rarely do more than 4x6.

You are gonna have to give me a better argument than sharpness to make me understand why the DX000 line beats out the Rebel line in your mind... I'm not saying an arugment can't be made, I'm just saying that's not it!

I think Poppy might even fit into the trunk with the lid open, so she can come too. Now that might make a cute picture! Pug in a Trunk!

Thank you, sir.
I've already grown fond of the new 17-40 lens. It's a keeper.

Wow, a Rabbit! Sweet! I had a Fox at one point. They haven't made a Rabbit for a while, have they? Anyway, if you have no mid life crisis stuff to buy like sportscars, get the camera... and yes to pics of the pug in the scooter trunk!

Oh, see now you are mixing it up... IQ and sharpness, two different things they are indeed... (ok, I'm gonna stop being a wise arse now...)

Actually, sharpness is a component of IQ (Image Quality) and in my subjective POV is a heavily weighted component of IQ. It's usually the first thing my eye notices about an image.
Other components include, Noise Dynamic range Tonal quality Contrast Vignetting yada, yada, yada...

thanks Hammer!
Jethro, I have the 2.5 litre so it's a pretty zippy car. Bought it in 2007 and still love it. Way more space in it than it looks too. I will post a pic of the pug in the trunk as soon as I get one. Have to concentrate on packing for the next few weeks though. I think maybe a trip to the camera store is order tomorrow though. I have a camera or two I might attempt to sell on consignment there as well. That is if they'll take them because they are film cameras.

What do you pack for traveling
I'm headed for a long weekend soon. Trying to figure out what I need to take. I want to travel as light as possible - just doing carry on.
Will likely be shooting outdoors only. Not sure what the opportunities will be - Napa. TIA! |
