digital photog discussion den
of all the things that were lost in the HD crash, my old dSLR thread is the one i miss the most, so i'm starting it back up.
![]() well, the 430EX flash unit didn't show up under my mom's Christmas tree for me this year, so i spoke with the wife and she gave me the go ahead to spend $230 or so of my year end bonus on the 430EX II. ![]() after listening to all you guys talking about the 430EX, i was jones'in hard for the external flash, but figured i'd wait it out thru Christmas. my wait is now over.... and my 430EX II is on order. ![]() only bummer is i wish i would have had it FOR Christmas, as it would have come in handy taking all my family get-together pics. supposed to be 20% faster than the 430EX, quieter recycle time, and i really like this: Quote:

Is that a capital D I see in your post dipps? I'm honored.
![]() Yeah it helps to disperse the flash more evenly. I rarely shoot without it.

I liked the effects of the LS a lot, but in the end I personally end up using this one more often. This site has a ton of reasonably $ photo items, including remote flash triggers that I use http://www.gadgetinfinity.com/home.php?cat=3 Last edited by outlawyer; 12-26-2008 at 04:00 PM. |

Don't be too hard on Canon shooters. They have good reason to be sensitive.

OK, fair enough. You don't know the hammer, cause I don't participate in many WR threads. I'm a jokester, a prankster, a trouble-maker ! This is dipps thread, and since he's a Canon products owner, he is going to draw like-minded enthusiasts. He can decide whether Riff-Raff such as Noink shooters, and similar, will be included. ![]() BTW DD --- I hope that your appreciation of photography isn't diminished, because you've embraced the money-making side of this art form. It happened to me...... true story !
