Gen 2 FZ1-N Clip On Bars

Since the original post was lost due to the whole site crashing I thought I'll post it up again.

The Bars are from tommaselli

The only other mod you have to do is convert the clutch cable to an R1 type as the end of the cable has to be flexible as the factory one that goes into the clutch lever is metal, you also have to drill out around 4mm from the cable adjuster so the clutch has a bit of free play.

The R1 cable is slightly to short but if you do this mod mentioned its just right.

Next mod is to fit a steering damper without lowering the bars in anyway.

You need some Allen keys, a drill to drill two holes for locating pins, a set of screwdrivers, a small socket set and a measuring tape.
For some minor electrical work you need some cutters, a soldering iron and heatshrink tube or electrical tape.

All the electrical work involves cutting the plugs off the blinkers and soldering them back to the mirror blinkers.

1 set of tommaselli 50mm clips ons are needed

Its pretty straight forward with a little mechanical knowledge.

If you have two left hands don't bother hahahaha

Carving up the corners is a lot easier and its a lot easier to get into the corner and get in a lot lower than before.

Its a better riding position for me and find it more comfortable to ride.

Our rides go for 4 - 6 hours all through the twisties, you end up tired but no sore back.

After a few people asked me, you can get the bars here

http://www.sd-tec.de/catalog/index.p...2943a02274b7d5

Or where I got mine

http://www.sd-tec.de/catalog/index.p...2943a02274b7d5

I paid 250 AUD

I forgot to add you will need new bar ends as the stock ones don't fit.

There are a large range at any motorcycle accessory shop to choose from.

My bike isn't an "N" so do you think it would hit my front fairing? If you want just measure how far the outter most point is from the gas tank and I can see if it would hit the fairing or not. Waiting for more info before pulling the trigger.

Looks awesome BTW.

From the tank bolt to the outer edge of the brake adjuster on the lever its 34.5 centimeters.

Don't forget you can fully adjust the bars in all directions.

Someone take a punt and do this mod on a FZ1 - S

Well depending on where exactly the end of the handlebar is depends if it will fit. Whats the distance to the end of the handlebar?

I had a look yesterday at a FZ1s and I think it will work, it would be a very close fit.
But without trying it i could not tell you.

Love the muffler, but hate the look of the mid pipe. Looks right out of place.

I'm getting a new one made this weekend.

By your measurements it would hit the fairing. I believe its around 14" to the outer part of the fairing. I dont want to pay out all that money to find out it wont work lol.
