It looks cool but I'd go with the less is more philosophy instead, especially on the naked.

If I was to see it with the bracketry powdercoated or anodized black it might change my tune but I doubt it.

The metal between the two outlets? I thought that was the license plate holder...

Either way, I REALLY like it. Enough to save for it instead of the slip-on I was about to order...

Yup, that's exactly what it is. See the two holes at the bottom of the bracket? They're for the upper bolt holes on a license plate I bet.

You and SoFun are both correct, but it is part of the bracketry for the undertail as well and part of the kit, see it above the cans too?

I am just a nitpicky S.O.B. so don't mind me, I am under the PowderCoaters allure with my '05 right now and hope to be rid of Shiny bits like HKUSP45 is.

Back to the IXIL, I read in a Metric Bike mag while guarding the newstand as the wife did some shopping today that IXIL has been in business for 50 years. I don't think you will be dissapointed. I used to have a hard on for their 1st Gen undertail but I couldn't justify the expense. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the mag but they had brief writeups on 32 exhaust companies. It was sort of a Metric Chopper magazine and had an Aprilia Tuono inset on the cover, not the main picture.

I remember there was a pipe in there called the Tail Gunner that looked like a Gatling gun and actually spins. Somebody can search and attach a pic for chuckles, my connection is crappier than usual today.

Holy schnikes batman! I never would have thought of that in a million years. What will they think of next? Maybe I should get two of those gattling gun thingys & do a high mount on each side of the tail section? Yeah... what's better than a gattling gun exhaust? DUAL gattling gun exhausts!!!

(I know, I know, this is a .50 cal. But it's the only machine gun smiley, OK?)
