Picked up my fz-09 9/24/13 Let the mods begin

As some may recall I was hit by a car in the morning commute 9/23.

So yesterday I started the disassembly and sent the forks to traxxion dynamics and the shock to penske.

I will post pics and details later as I need to run some errands.

Ya baby. Who cares what it costs. Melt the credit card, buy that exhaust. You want it. You need. it. You must have it.

Then of course report back to us.

Not ready to replace the exhaust yet.

Rear shock is on its way to Penske

Something is missing from this picture:

Forks are off to see Lee at Traxxion Dynamics

Air box hiding under the tank:

Fuse box hiding under the right side fake "air scoop"

Inside the airbox we see 3 different length intake scoops

Underside of airbox top:

Note the intake funnel and the 3 chamber built into the top - I presume the chambers are for sound control/resonance.

Well, I guess if your injury prevents you from riding it, you might as well take it apart and mod it. Well done sir.

Penske is going to build a new fully adjustable shock using the stock shock as a pattern.

A very old trick for flattening the torque curve.

Great, hope they're cutting you a deal as your shock will be the prototype.

Thanks for posting. It's amazing what manufacturers have to go through to build a bike now.

I'm curious as what Traxxion can do with the forks. Can they make them fully adjustable?
