Alpinestars clearance sale
I've been watching the "clearance" items on the website of the dealer I purchased my 09 FZ1 from. I've been in need of some new riding pants and boots. I made a call to check for sizes then decided to pull the trigger and make a run up there. Here's the website if anyone is interested in Alpinestars gear. They've got some pretty good deals on all in stock items.
http://www.teamwinnebagoland.com/clearanceitems.htm I picked up these Apex pants for $199.99 ![]() These S-MX-5 boots for $109.99 ![]() Picked this up for $5.00 ![]() I also picked up a pair of Alpinestars summer riding undergarments, boxers, full length bottoms and long tech socks... all for $40.00. After the purchase I received a punch card... I currently have $40.00 to spend on my next Alpinestars purchase. Good through September. They also still have my 2003 FZ1 that I traded in back in April. As much as I love my new 09, I'd love to have her back in my garage next to my 09.

Wow. Great deals. I'm tempted on those boots, but I have enough already...

Alpinestars has an enforced MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policy and you don't normally see really attractive prices. Most dealers will discount "Discontinued" products at lower prices, and Alpinestars allows that on discontinued products, but they don't normally discount very much. These are genuine bargains.
The pants are a great deal but I have leathers and can't afford the pants right now. Greatly tempted on the boots but don't know if BLUE boots (no BLACK in my size) and me are right for each other and I already have 3 pairs of boots. Wish I knew about the boots a month ago. A month ago, BLUE boots and me would have learned to love each other. |

These guys have a huge inventory of APStars gear. I know some aren't a fan of AP gloves, but they have a huge selection of gloves on sale also. They have a July riders special sale going on also which includes the AP leather jacket, AP apex pants, AP s mx-5 boots, AP gloves (not sure what style it was I didn't look) and I believe the undergarments for $650.00 Last edited by Woodys2718; 07-09-2012 at 05:56 PM. [quote=eflyguy;2330889]I highly recommend it..
I know you do. Actually thought of you using your Gen 1 as your tourer and thought about doing the same. When I told Kendra the day we were there I'd love to have it back, she said "I'll buy it back for you if I can get another cat". Not sure if you've seen this thread http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57780 but we have enough of em already. |

I picked up a pair of the boots. I ride in these and I can't even tell I'm wearing them, they are so comfortable. It took me over a year to find boots that even fit me even in my size (US13.5) but these are perfect..

That's how I feel about my Cortech Latigos. They have become my every day boots. Very comfortable., with great protection.
Plus I have a nice pair of SIDI boots that I love to wear at the track. I just can't look away from a smoking deal like this!

I pulled the trigger on a pair of 49's....size 13.5. I wear a size 13 shoe but I'd rather have more room than less. I knew I had to order fast b/c the folks around here can sniff a deal a mile away! Thanks for the heads up!

Point I forgot to mention - I wear long dry-star socks in the summer, but in winter I'll wear thick work socks over them as well. No issue with comfort either way.
