Been playing for 34 years, started when I was 4 and never looked back; love the game. If I may, a quick bit of advice; buy him some blades, or muscle cut blades. If he's learned to play on those old clubs you have, he'll swing a newer blade the same way. They are surely more balanced, will have a better shaft and nothing develops and keeps a swing natural the way blades can. Just my two pennies....(maybe even less).

This afternoon when he got off work, guess what? My phone rings and he asks what I'm doing? We headed over to our local sports store (Dunhams). He had gone there last night right from the course and was scoping out some blades. I ended up getting him Taylor Made Burner Plus irons. Compared to my old Wilson Sam Snead 100's that he beat me with, he's pretty happy and was headed to the range.

He's also using an old Mizuno driver of mine. He asked me if a new driver would cure his slice... I smiled and told him no, only YOU can fix your slice, and commenced to tell him that I had more than a grand wrapped up in my golf gear and that he just beat me with a vintage early 80's set of clubs that I bought at Kmart for around $160.00.

On the way home he said he starting playing darts with his friends. I said "cricket" he said "yup, but I need to buy some darts... bar darts suck". I told him I had an old set he could use and we could go play sometime. He said "so I can beat you with your own darts now". If that happens...

Dremel 570 1/8" Carbide Grout Removal Bit.

Bought 2 of 'em. We're re-grouting every damn bit of tile flooring throughout the house. It's BRUTAL. Gotta be 1,500' sq -- every room but the bedrooms.

I know, right? Some of it comes right up with the bit. A lot of it REALLY doesn't. For those, I just try to put a line down the middle, then manually scrape it out over and friggin' over until I want to shoot myself. Light night I pretty much melted both carbide bits, it was so tough. I don't sweat that much in a sauna...

Went at it all day Saturday, all day Sunday, and several hours Mon/Tues night (and again tonight). I'm sore as all hell. So far we've finished the kitchen (not so much sq footage), 1/3 of the living room (comes out easy) and tonight we'll finish all of the dinette. If I'm lucky, it'll be about 25% done.
