I'm sure there's probably some Gen I Vmaxes that can give some FZs a good run..................Just as I know there are some FZs that can give some R1s a good run.............Mainly depending on the mods, riders, and distance.

The only reason I wrapped the throttle was because I was riding in the left portion of my lane and the jerk decided he wanted to pass me in my lane and to my left! I easily could have reached out and touched him. I was pissed and lucky for me I happened to be almost right at the RPM for V-boost to hit when I nailed it. I banged through a couple of gears then rolled off. He only went by after I let off.
I ran into the jerk the very next day on my RC51. He passed me but this time in his own lane. He waved and I flipped him the bird. I'm sure he was confused LOL. |

Well good for you then.........I had Harley riders do the same and I hate it aswell.
...........But it doesn't sound like it was an actual race as much as it does you just speeding off and him maybe rolling on it afterwards.....

The VMax is actually my girlfriend's bike. I almost didn't want to tell her that I held off an FZ1 as I didn't want her getting any ideas that her bike was faster than mine

Ok so after four years of riding he should not be scared of his bike anymore. He needs to be on a 250 nighthawk....

Wow. Just a matter of time for that kid. If the R1 doesn't kill him, his brother will when he chucks that thing down the road. Darwin at work again.

I rode my trackday on Saturday the whole day in 3rd gear. Guys flew away from me going out of the turns. I got up near 120 a couple of times, but mostly stayed around 90-100 on the straights. Bogged down to 35-40mph in the tight corners. Wasn't even trying to go fast in a straight line, because, like, anyone can do that.
+2 on go to the track. Don't feel bad when you get it handed to you.

Anecdotal accounts of races mean little. Rider ability, willingness to push it harder than the other guy, throttle position, when brakes are touched, shifts, rider size, etc. all factor into the "kills" that some of you guys like to boast about.
If YOU were to ride your Fiz hard through a course and then ride liter supersport through the same course, riding just as hard, you'd see the difference between a liter standard like the Fiz and a liter supersport like the R1, CBR, ZX-10R, GSX-R1k, etc. If the mighty Fiz truly is the slayer of said supersports, why aren't there any running in World SBK? For the record, I ride a 2008 R1 and have been humbled on the track and the street by bikes such as the Fiz, GSX-R750 and some well ridden R6s. Admittedly, I don't ride as aggressively as a lot of you guys, and I'm fine with that. Keep the "kill stories" coming, that are fun to read. MG
