Bridgestone S20 on tuesday
For the first time I will try some sport-rubber on the bike.
Bike was delivered with Michelin Pilot Road. They lasted about 15000km/9375miles. Both worn down. Next was Bridgestone Battlax BT-023, rear is almost gone, the front could last quite a bit more, but it has lost the feedback, so I don't feel confident leaned over. They have lasted about 14000km/8750miles. While having the BT-023 I also modded the bike, so it's got more low-end now, as compared to the first set of tyres, and I'm harder on the throttle. Will report back on the S20's in a week or two. The shop will also change the chain and sprockets. I asked for a FZ1-2005 16t front sprocket, which I read somewhere should be fine. Best regards Tonny

I just saw the S20's at Motorcycle Superstore, let us know how they are. They are the replacement for the BT-016 Pro. The Gen 1 16T is working great on my bike.

Took the bike to work for 2 days. The tires are not ready for full cornering speed yet, but they are definately much softer than the original pilot roads and the bt023 I had before. They seem to heat up quite well. As always, the bike is much more alive with new tires.
Hopefully I will have time for a good ride in the weekend, as the weather should be brilliant here in Denmark.

So, I have a couple hundred miles on the S20's.
When cold, they will slip easily. Driving from work, I have about a mile to a large 2 lane roundabout, and I can lean all I want, already then. So warmup is quick. I don't feel any change from the 2 compounds, when leaned over. Every time I park the bike, lots of small gravel stick to the tires. It is definately something else than the sport-touring tires I was used to. I like the extra grip I feel, gives me more confidence. I can feel the softer rubber somehow absorbs some small vibrations from the road surface. So far a very nice experience.
