want opinions: are these too FANBOY???

Ok, so blue is my favorite color, and i really love Yamaha blue. I have a blue FZ1.

I'm shopping for a new jacket now, and came across these jackets on ebay. I don't tend to be a brand-loyal person. And I general laugh whenever I see someone riding a Harley covered head to toe in Harley apparel.

But I really love the look of these jackets. Black, blue and white is my favorite color combination for riding gear.

So my question is, would you consider any of these too FANBOY looking? Thanks. And feel free to flame away if needed. I got thick skin and could use a laugh too.

Top one gets my vote. My gear ALWAYS matchs. From my early Suzuki TM125 racing days of having black/yellow to my blue/white I currently ride in.

I'm not one to talk since I wear mostly pink gear but wear what you like and feel comfortable in. If you don't you won't want to wear it and gear in my opinion is much more important.

I happen to like blue too so I pick either 2 or 3...

My problem is, I ride more than one bike. Gear for each would be a problem!

That said, I ride with my hi-vis jacket all winter, so it's not a problem..

Looks good, congrats on actually making the quality decision to wear the proper gear, many don't. I tend to like darker colors and black but speaking of visibility, the multicolored one is more eye catching. I say: No, it's not over the top fanboy, worship at the brand altar like some gear.

What material is used on the top 2? I am guessing its not full Cordura etc so that would scare me away.

The leather jacket looks real nice.

I like the top one.

We need somebody to define "FANBOY" before we can answer the question.

Who knows what material is actually used. One is textile and the other is mesh. Last is leather of course. The listing for the textile says "600D Carbolex ® shell incorporates 1680D ballistic shoulder impact panels". They don't even have a "brand" name per say, so who knows who even manufacturers them. Standard CE armor in elbows and shoulders, with foam back pad.

I have nice leather jackets, but actually looking for a sport style textile jacket, as i prefer that over leather when it's cold (cold in Florida is relative, BTW). I have a nice Firstgear TPG set for cold and wet touring, but prefer a shorter sport cut jacket for tooling around town, on either of my Yamahas.

Thanks for the thoughts guys and gals.

I always wear gear. Always have, always will. Saved me in a crash 2 years ago when i hit the road at about 45-50 mph. Just looking for something different at the moment. My standard leather jacket is a Teknic, in perforated flat black leather. Very comfy, flows well, fits well. But sometimes I like textile instead, and something a bit brighter than flat black, without being neon yellow, would be good. I am not liking too many of the sport style textile jackets out there right now. Not sure I like most of the styles/colors on offer. But these caught my eye.

Carbolex is what you see on mid tier products like Tourmaster and Fieldsheer.

Since you asked for an opinion.... Looks wise #2 and 3 are sharp with #2 getting the nod because it looks to have more contrast, hence more visible. I'm not a fan of wearing much black when riding, other than pants, but if #3 is leather, I would wear that one.

I like the bottom one as well but I tent to not get gear with a brand on it in case I buy a different bike.

Otherwise... I'm with the rest
