I used to live in Irvine.
I can see why they are safe.
First of all, it's a relatively affluent area, and is kind of isolated from the surrounding cities.
Second, they are low population density for a suburban city. Lots of open areas and parks around.
Third, The place has always been crawling with cops. I used to think that there were way too many with nothing to do, since they would pull you over for pretty much anything out of the ordinary. However, seeing that the crime rate is really low, maybe there arent too many...

Temecula is very similar to Irvine. It's a newer city. It boomed in the late 90s. Same deal, though... A little pricey, kind of isolated, and crawling with cops.

Are there alot of cops in Murrieta? I stop by there for coffee once in a while when coming back from my parents' place in Bonsall. I don't recall having seen too many... I've got no mirrors and a loud pipe, so I kind of avoid getting off of the 15 in Temecula...

Being from Irvine myself...There are way too many cops! Must be one cop for 100 people there! But it is clean, the folks are nice but it isn't a place I like to ride a bike through...You never see motorcycles in Irvine unless there is a Cop on it.

Mom still lives there and she loves it.

Yup, your description fits #7 Frisco TX exactly as well.

Yuma, AZ ? I'll bet it's safe. Too hot to leave the house. What a h___hole. I think I'd rather be a little less safe elsewhere than do the Yuma slow roast.

Yea, same with Frisco. Crime is low because even criminals don't want to go outside when it's hot.

I don't know, with only about 500 ppl (and nearly 98% of them White), all it takes is one crazy Kansan to skew the figures.

Idaho is not on the list, but there are plenty of places here with low crime, and safe neighborhoods.

Biggest problem around here is crime that is passing through, or stuff like child abuse/abduction.
