Just think about it. Someone that sees a doctor about eight or ten times a year. That injects drugs four times a day that without them, they would die. They've been to a few of the best nutritionists there are.

There might be enough advice input.

Unc, so for smoking, what pork roasts are good? As in what you might see at Costco.

Good advice re Boston Butt.

I got a couple of tri-tips this weekend at Costco--one of the few places around here they can be found.

Don't fret the Indonesia stuff. They're warehoused in California. The company is owned by Art Linkletter's grandson. It's a quality product, and a good company to deal with.

Pork butt or shoulder. Both are good; around here pork butts are easier to find than shoulders.

Dunno what you see at Costco. I don't know where the meat that finds its way into the fridge comes from; I think most of it comes from a local grocery store.

I was just about to say...with you there, why did we go out to eat?

Nevermind, I know. So you could laugh at me when I got my hand burned.

Pork butt and shoulder are the same thing. Costco sells them and they are great.

I'll bring some real horseradish and mint jelley. Roasted apples rock with that scene too.

Yah it's confusing. The "butt" is the shoulder, and the "picnic" Is the lower portion. And theres a half dozen names for each of them.

hammer, you da man!

8lb pork shoulder; spicy, homemade dry rub overnight; smoked with apple wood for 12.5 hours @ 225 degrees. Delightfully moist, falls apart at the touch, melt in your mouth good. The picture does not do it justice.
