That's a bunch of crap. Only a moron would pay that much. Moto GP in Laguna Seca
was 100$ per ticket. Even in that part of California the hotels were less than 250 a night.

Oldest trick in the book...put a line out in front of an empty night club to create demand.

Yeah, I think I would just save some money by going to Laguna Seca instead. I rode out there last week. The grandstands are coming along nicely. I still say they should have put it on the west side of town in the hills instead of in the middle of the mesquites and junk yards.

Indy MotoGP was only $60? for the weekend gen admission. I could possibly see $100 for F1, not $1000 or even $5000......but that's just me.

Just found this video. It is a great little bit on the racetrack. It looks fantastic!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TQGC5XCUHg

Here is a computer generated study of the track. This thing looks amazing!! I can't wait for this to open up and go to an event!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK0_i...eature=related

And finally - a computer generated first lap (Beta Lap). LOL Drives like my GF!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw2Cm...eature=related

This is a POV simulated lap. LOL With a much better driver than the one above ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2ABF...eature=related

I'm going to stop posting links because there are plenty more if you want to look.
I'm really excited about this and I'm so glad that it went through. I thought this thing was going to die!!

Cool vids popularjock, thanks.
Like cowboys stadium and Texas motor speedway somebody has to pay as they profess everythings bigger in Texas.
Rangers have a $28 hotdog now...parking at cowboy games is $70.

I hope Austin is ready for all this hoopla.

You are very welcome! Those videos got me pumped up!!!! I'm excited
LOL
Unfortunately you are correct - we are going to pay for this world class entertainment. Reminds me of the $9 beers at Cowboy Stadium. LOL Wonder what they will be at The Circuit of Americas?
And hotel rooms - I think I will drive in the day of the event unless we have some type of FZ1 gathering. Then we may look at staying a little further away. Kyle, Tx and Buda, Tx would only be about a 30 min drive. I lived in San Marcos which is 25 miles south of Austin - nice hotels there at reasonable rate........Something to think about???????

Ill just stay home and justify my 62" LED and $100 cable bill. No standing in line for the head either.

Another reason I love Indy; they don't take advantage of the race fans. I think the most expensive thing the food vendors had was the $8 turkey leg.

I would too if I lived where you do. Lucky!

I live Northwest which is about as on the other side of town as you can get from the track, but as advertised earlier have room for people. Perhaps there will be a shuttle we can catch from one of the light rail stations?

Ya, I did find it quite odd when I went to MotoGP in Indy a few years ago, everything was reasonable in price. My only complaint was the lack of RV parks in the area. Real parks, not the lots to dry camp, those were everywhere.

They are adding in more races. Looks like the American LaMas Series is coming too.

Remember my house in west Austin is for rent at $3,000 a day. This includes stocked liqueur, beer, and wine.
