Ah, well, it looks like there might be a lockout. Amazing considering the least major major sport has barely started to regain its fanbase from the last one. Anyway, and now for something completely different.

I hope the NHL implodes, starts back up with 16 teams, and no more than 45 games a season.

For this year I'm gona start following the Quebec league a bit closer again.

Less games would be great because one of the reasons we dropped our season tickets was because it was too hard for us to go to the weeknight games and the tickets didn't sell. I could hardly give them away.

The powers that be that run basketball, baseball and hockey think more games = more ticket sales, but when you walk into a half empty arena on a Thursday night...no one is buying those $9 hot dogs folks.

So I made my return to the ice last night after missing all last year to a snapped twig. Was tough as I really seemed to regress and my skill level was not great to begin with. Hopefully things will start to come back fast. New team name, and a colour scheme that will warm Dashs' heart.
