Yeah, I've heard that and it's part of the issue.

That little voice reminds me of that.

It’s like everything, it all depends on where they come from...

Shrimps are the quintessential bottom feeder. As such, they tend to load on heavy metals and other pollutants. I do eat them on occasion but more as an accompaniment than a main course, and not very often.

Probably not a bad idea to scratch them off completely.

Hate to break it to you but if you are eating any food that you didn't raise yourself farm to table. Like going to a restaurant or shopping at a grocery store, you eat tons of bugs every year already and a lot worse like rodent poop and hair etc.

I've had crickets, grasshoppers and ants. All of which are very tasty kind of a nutty sweet flavor and ants are kind of a citrus. I find that a lot less disgusting than a McDonalds cheese burger.

There's a difference between the FDA allowable limit of insect parts in your processed foods and changing the tune to "Hot Dogs - Cricket Hogs - The dogs I love to eat -"

Next time you put your lips to a can of a beverage without washing the top off... nevermind. You don't want to know. Besides, it hasn't killed you yet.

People are perfectly happy to eat food made for them in a restaurant where Bob just came back from taking a dump and is now making burger patties with his bare hands.

But fried crickets? NO WAY!!

I outfitted a few Chili's and walked through the prep area regularly, I don't eat at Chili's anymore.

Dogs eat cat shit and won't touch crickets or crawdads...what does that tell ya.

Most restaurants are the same way. My uncle was a restaurant inspector for the health dept. He would not eat at ANY restaurant. My aunt hated it.

It hasn't killed us yet so I just keep on eatin'.

Well, considering cats eat crickets and flys, dogs must view cat turds like we view hot dogs, just don't tell us what's in it!

Sometimes you just have to give in. If you fry them just right, it isn't so bad, right?

And god forbid, forget what's in an oyster, what IS an oyster?
