Sitting here in the sun at ATT park. Perfect day. Almost. 1.5 innings to go.

Congrats to the Giants for winning the NL West!

Texas will face Tampa Bay in the first round. I'm not looking forward to that. I'd rather the Rangers face the Yankees - they've been struggling against lefties, and our #1 and #2 are pretty good lefties in Lee and Wilson.

I was hoping the Giants would lose. A 3-way playoff would be a bit exciting (for those of us non SF fans )

Yeah, Josh will be on the postseason roster. He's been playing limited duty the past three games, hitting .286 and slugging .714.

He was just named AL Batting Champ today, with a season average of .359. Closest behind him was Cabrera at .328. If Josh had been healthy through September, he might've pulled in the MVP...

Article about the loveable Giants on SI.com.

The excellent writer JOe Penanski has a cool article about how you can't help
but love the 2010 Giants! This ain't the Barry Bonds days anymore!

These Lovable Giants

I have never experienced an event like that yesterday. I've been to some big
football games before, but none of those can match what yesterday was like.
I've been to several tension filled baseball games this year as well, but yesterday?
Oh man. What a VIBE. Wow. I mean the pitcher got the thing started by ripping a triple!!!

This is a team of cool cats too.

Buster Posey, the rookie. Are you kidding me? When he came up in May he picked this
team up and they took off. He bats like a 10 year vet. He's quiet and reserved, doesn't talk any shit.

Aubrey Huff - Huff Daddy. Never been to a playoff game in his career. Last few years
slogging it out with the sorry Oriels. This guy is a flat out nut job who gets it done.
Two months ago he bought a rhinestone encrusted red thong and started wearing it
for games. He proclaimed that with the thong the Giants would go 20-10. After yesterdays win, they were 20-10.

Pat Burrell. Pat The Bat! Discarded by the Rays, the Giants picked him up mid season.
Was he done? Not so. He's hit 18 bombs since June.

Freddy Sanchez - Former batting champ languishing with the Pirates for all these years
arrives late last year then goes on the IR. Comes back this year to rock second base
and do what a #2 man has to do with the bat.

Brian Wilson - Goof ball, and the best closer in the game. B-Wheezy brings the
oranges shoes and the heat.

There's so many cool stories with this crew.... I hope us fans get a few more this October.

Oh, last night most of the team was wandering around bars in downtown SF chatting
with fans, having beers, doing high fives. Very cool. Talk radio is buzzing right now. It's good stuff!!!

Isn't it kind of unfair if they're giants and the other teams aren't. I mean, wouldn't they...

Whassat? Not real giants?

Never mind.
