Every Shark Tank game I've seen on TV looks like ass.

Old college friend of mine is taking me to the Islanders/Kings game tomorrow; he got tickets through his firm, so the seats should be sweet. I'm stoked!

In August I got a 40" HD teeeevveeee for slaving away at my job for 10 years! Hockey is much much better in HD, if they would upgrade all of the broadcasts anyway. Watching non-HD football or hockey almost gives me a headache now.

But, what can you expect from a sport where they still "call upstairs" on black telephones with cords that were made in 1953 and write down everything on clipboards? At least you don't have technical delays...

That would be fun sometime!

Recently all of our fun has been of the staycation variety, until Mike finds a job again.

Though I am rather enjoying having a house husband.

He's reheating his mother's pot roast in the crock pot now. Smells good. Despite the fact I hate roast unless it's wallowing in BBQ or pepper something. Actually, his specialties are casserole type meals and super rich deserts, like four cheese homemade mac n cheese and chocolate peanut butter pie. We've got a growler and four six packs. When will you be here?

You will have to meet our dog and sleep in my 18 year old daughter's room, but don't worry, the girl cooties are at college with her. Actually, if you are in it she can't come home....

lol....Is the room all pink and the walls plastered with various hunky male posters? If so, no pictures will be authorized!

and, the peanut butter pie sounds good enough for dinner itself!

No, come on, she's my daughter...though she took the zombie survival poster and NY skyscraper prints to college with her, the saxophone painting is still there.

Alrighty, a couple of pictures from the meet the players event. This is only the second year they've done it, but it is actually pretty cool. They rotate the players between the arena floor and autograph tables. Down on the floor, you can get your pictures with them in the box, on the bench, in a net, They also have game areas set up where they players will play air hockey, table hockey, puck shot games with people, mostly little kids and there were a lot of little kids and players getting a big kick out of this. John Michael Liles was grinning from ear to ear.

The pictures are of Matt Duchene, us, Philippe Dupuis, then in the next picture, Mike, Milan Hejduk, me and Cody McLeod. We also got a picture with Scott Hannan and David Liffiton, but neither of them turned out very well. Hannan come across like he was bored and a little bit of a jerk. But most of the players we super friendly, a little shy, and very nice.

Anyway, it was a fun time! You can see how I kept almost clubbing people with the stick.

Ah to be young and rich and play hockey for a living.
I am old, not rich and pay $15 twice per week to play hockey.
