Today, I went for a ride in the country and then after dinner filled the handlebar real tight with BB's then plugged up both ends good with a couple pair of squishy ear plugs.

Slept in 'til after 10am (bad cough, didn't actually sleep at all).

Found that my new Red Chrome rim stripes had arrived already (only 2 days).

Went to dealer to pick up my 16t sprocket.

Rode around town for next 2 1/2 hours, went to 8 different auto parts / tool suppliers, nobody had a 36mm socket in stock! (Well, actually 2 places had the 3/4" drive heavy duty ones, over $30, plus I would need 1/2" drive adapter or buy a 3/4" socket wrench. Not paying out that much for a tool I might never use again...?)

So I booked it in at the Yamaha dealer for them to do it. I wanted to do it myself, just couldn't get the tool. (I might make a few calls tomorrow to see if I can borrow one.)

I also cleaned & lubed my chain.

Then I cleaned my rims and applied the new Red Chrome rim stripes.

Now back to internet to order speedo-healer.

Tried on the OEM Yamaha saddlebags. Wiped it down. Adjusted throttle slack.

Installed 16t front sprocket.

The workshop at work had a 36mm socket they let me borrow, woo hoo!
I'm glad I got to do this myself. (It's quite a big deal for me, being mechanically challenged.)

EDIT: P.S. Also did foot peg washer mod (turned stock washer around).

Now gotta borrow GPS to see how much further the speedo is out, then order the speedo-healer... and FCE, and slip-on, and...
