Yamaha R6R shock kits for gen.1 FZ1's

11/22/2017

I currently have a complete R6R shock kit, with low mileage, in stock.

I also have a complete 2012 B.M.W. S1000RR low mileage shock kit, for riders that weigh between 150 to 220 lbs. The 2012 and later B.M.W. shocks, are slightly better units, than the previous models. Slightly larger piston, inside the shock, and the complete shock is slightly shorter, in length. Very close to our o.e.m. gen.1 shocks, in length.

If interested in either one of these complete shock kits, please let me know.

Hey gang:

For those that do not know, i make up a full plug n' play shock kit, for 2001 to 2005, FZ1's. The kit includes a low mileage Yamaha R6R shock, dog bones made to measure, and spacer washers for the top mount. You just unbolt your o.e.m. shock, and then bolt mine in place of the o.e.m. unit. Much better shock with a stiffer shock spring, better adjustments for riding, and the unit is about two and half pounds lighter, than the piece it replaces. The total cost is $195.00, including shipping to your 48 state address, by Priority Mail.
If any interest, let me know by p.m., or phone me on my cell phone @ 831 332-9458.
Thanks for looking at the ad.

Dean

Thumbs up

I can attest to this shock kit being a MUST DO on the FZ1.

The bike is so much more planted, even riding 2-up works great.

Best Mod done so far.

Thanks Dean!

Dean I also plan to do this mod. But I to am hard up for cash. That's also the reason I haven't contacted you yet about repairing my damaged Skunk tank. Need to get a couple pay checks in and I'll be giving you a call.

Hey gang:
Well, for the first time in months, i have a R6R shock in the garage that is not spoken for. This is a really nice one, with ultra low mileage. 2,147 miles, total. It has a yellow spring, and the shock looks like new, as it should with such low mileage.
So, if any of you are sitting on the fence about one of these shocks, i now have one in the garage.
Thanks for your continuted interest in these shocks, and have a great weekend, all.

Consider it sold!!! That one would be perfect for my bee! I have talked with you previously but am unable to cut a check at the moment since I am away on some good army training. As soon as I get back in a couple weeks I will send out the payment and details!

Well, that was quick. The yellow spring model is sold, and will be shipped out today or tomorrow.
That being said, i should have another R6R shock coming in very soon. So let me know if interested in the one coming in.

Finally got around to swapping the shocks on mine. Was super easy. The bike feels a lot more solid now. Well worth the money!!

Good morning:
I have a R6R shock coming in soon, if you want it. I supply a complete kit. All you do is remove your old o.e.m. shock, and fit my R6R shock in place of it. I make all my dog bones by hand so i can make the d.b.'s any length you like. 130 m.m. leaves your FZ1, at o.e.m. ride height, but i can raise or lower the back. Up to you.
$185.00 is the price, which includes shipping to your 48 state address. Personal check or money order will be fine. I no longer have a Paypal account.
Okay, that is it for now.
