Graves fender eliminator - dimensions

I'm looking at a Graves fender eliminator to clean up the back side a bit...

Long story short, I need a dimension taken from someone who has one of these things.

The vertical wall that a signal would be bolted to, is offset INSIDE of where the license plate would mount.

When a plate is mounted to the Graves unit, how far back from the edge of the license plate is the turn signal mount?

Anyone still rocking one of these?

Thanks

I have a brand new one sitting in storage (for sale btw). I'll take some measurements when I get a chance.

Ended up getting Regder's FE, and am in the process of modifying it to work with short LED's, under 1.25" in length....

Drew the FE up in CAD because why not...drew up some plugs to fill in the existing stock signal mounts, and will chop/weld back together to make the signals stick out a bit further.

I'll throw together some before/after photos once it's completed. Cheers.

I brought in the Graves unit into work, and digitized it...thinking I'd just 3d print some spacers away from the signal mounts. Turns out, that was an ugly idea, without much room to work within.

Here's the rough digitized file, only showing ~ half of the file here:

Which when cleaned up, looks something more like this:

so right now, I'm waiting on having two small signal plate adapters machined, which should slip right inside the existing signal provisions, and allow mounting of the x-arc signals I want to run.

The plan is to weld up these plugs, and they tackle making everything work with my spacing...

Fun stuff.

Got the plates machined this morning. Next step is to weld 'em in, and space out the plates being modified.

Need to find some aluminum bar stock, and this should finish up pretty quickly.

Here's where I'm at...

and with the signal mounts shifted to the outside, with the already machined plates.

Finally got around to getting material cut to finish this up. Made a contact with a small welder in the next town over, and hope to have this finished soon.

Decent amount of work to change spacing of the signals, but...it was fun.

Plan on running a TST plate light with this new mount.

Edit: apparently I'm in no hurry with personal projects. Last touched this thread in November of last year. Dangit...

Finally getting somewhere with this thing. It's welded up...still needs a bit of paint, but we're almost there. Should light up nicely with a Moto Dynamics tail light, and the run-turn-brake functionality of the X-Arcs. I don't plan on running the turn signal function of moto-d tail.....

Just to close this one one....I got the re-shaped Graves FE put on this weekend. Still have the X-arcs to wire up, but that'll be easy enough.

Turned out good IMO. I'd like to shove the plate a bit further up under the tail....but we'll see how far that can go with a bit of dremel work.

Cheers.

Also put some wedding gifts up in the garage. I'm from Minnesota, and the wife grew up in Wisconsin. One of her friends got us state flags for a wedding gift....very cool.
