Looking for old school gloves

Last year I stumbled upon a very old pair of Joe Rocket gloves hanging in a local shop. They must have been hanging for at least 10 years by the looks of the packaging. I absolutely love them. Soft leather, thin palm with minimal padding and soft padding on the top. Well they have holes in them now and I can't find anything like them today. Anybody know if anyone still makes this type of glove ?

how many miles on them? hopefully a lot, as only 1 year and they have holes doesn't seem like a quality glove; not sure I would trust them not coming apart during a crash

My JR mesh jacket had the CE rated armor decided to fall to pieces randomly inside the jacket so I have trouble trusting Joe Rocket now.

These are pricey but sound amazing, I've never tried them myself as I prefer a more technical glove. I believe a group member works with Lee Parks so he may be able to chime in with some personal experience.

I tried on a pair of the Lee parks many years ago. Did not like them at all.

My personal faves are Held "Steves".

I have a pair of Lee Parks gloves:

The are not good below about 50F in my opinion although they claim to be good to 35F. Other than that they are very high quality gloves.

I've had a pair of Held Steves for well over 10 years. I keep thinking I need to replace, but I can't think of why. They are bullet proof, fit great, still provide a lot of protection.

I gave up on JR anything a long time ago, as seams came undone, etc. Not surprised your JR gloves are falling apart after only 1 year.

MotoGP Gloves

I have a pair of MotoGP brand gloves that Racer Boy gave me and I'd like to find another pair if possible. They are perforated and are great for hot weather like we have here in the summers. If anybody has a pair laying around and wants to get rid of them please let me know.

There are not vented and are not super thick so around there you will probably start to think about warmers/liners/etc.

They've been my favorite glove for many years now.

Under 40 degrees? For me that meant packing real cold weather gloves.
I think much depends on whether your hands are protected from the wind or if they are totally exposed.

Mink Oil or Snow Seal extends cold weather use a little, fwiw. Deer skin makes better/wider temp range gloves.
Finding deerskin at a reasonable price is something else.

Those are made by Schoeller. Keprotec is their trade name. A few pair on fleabay, mostly over in the UK. I have a similar pair. Great gloves for the price.

Pretty sure Schoelle Keprotec is a type of fabric (Kevlar like or some such) I have that tag on a few different brands of gloves..

Does it have to be Joe ROcket? I imagine it will be hard to find a model from that long ago?
I LOVE Racer gloves. I think these are great gloves and they make both street gloves and gauntlet.
