Replaced the front blue Goodridge "Kevlar" brake lines on Pat's original 2001 FZ1 now mine, with Goodridge stainless steel braided, clear plastic coated, brake lines yesterday, at a very quiet riders place.
Just not my style on the blue lines. Even though they match the deep purplish/blue paint livery on the 2001/2005 models, very well. I think I will list them on the classified here, and let somebody else have them. They are in perfect condition, but once again, just not my style. Stay tuned in the classifieds, for them. Dean |

Finally had enough of this tire, have a bigger ride here shortly and wanted a fresh one on.
3300 miles of mostly 2up, few drag strip runs, and a nice burnout. I blame the non worn edges on the lack of nice flowing high speed turn roads in this state. All the nice ones are tar and chipped. I’m also a puss. |

Just sold her.
![]() For $2100. Bought her with 19K and got to 64064 Miles in 4 years. Felt bad letting her go, but priorities are a little different right now. I’ll be back within half a year or so with another bike, probably a Gen 2. Who knows.

Installed new front Q3 and new Brembo rotors and SC pads I bought from PJ. I took a little extra time to center the rotors radially on the wheel. Got both rotors within 0.003” TIR. Picky, I know, but gives me satisfaction knowing they are dialed in. Everything balanced out nicely with only 1/2 oz of weight. Unfortunately rain is keeping me from bedding in the pads today.

Painted the rear cowl, on my 2001 FZ1. It had been refinished a number of years ago i was told. The color was never a exact match, for "deep purplish/blue". Well now every thing matches, in d.p.b.
Next up I will refinish a spare gas tank that I have, in the same color. The gas tank on the bike is o.e.m. color perfect, and perfect in condition, but has the "Yamaha" word written on it, as it is a 2001 model. I prefer the "tuning" fork decal on the gas tanks, of the 2003 to 2005, models. After that, I have a Shoei RF1100 I just picked up, and that also, will be d.p.b. soon, with a 1/8" sliver tape piece running on contour, in the back. Getting this bike straightened out! lol! Dean |

I was sitting out in the patio, at the place I am house sitting at in Willow Glen, Ca. this afternoon, having a few south of the border, hopped, malted, beverages, and looking at my 2001, FZ1. A few hours earlier, I had installed a clutch cover, that I had painted in d.p.b. a few weeks ago. It really looks great! Getting this device straightened out! lol!
That being said, there are a few places on the frame, below the gas tank, were the original owner, had installed twin horns, that only functioned, when the revs went above 3K revs! lol! Needless to say, said horns are long gone. There are however, areas of scratches where said horns lived, that must be addressed in that area. So, I am thinking, why not carefully mask off that area, and refinish that area, in d.p.b. If you look at a gen.1 front fairing, that lower contour line, from the front fairing could indeed, be continued on to that part of, the pewter colored, gen.1 frame. Yeah I know, this old clown, has WAY too much time on his hands! 73 Years of age, and I STILL love doing this nonsense. I will keep plugging along, and see what I come up with! lol! When indeed, I am done this with device, I don't think anybody will be embarrassed to be found riding, with me. lol! Dean |

Installed my new used tire I took off last year. And threw on some 90* stems from pj
I forgot how annoying big bike tire changes are after just dealing with dirtbike tires for the past year |

Just sold mine for $200 + shipping. Put it up for $239.00 or best offer. Got a $200 offer. Not boasting, just trying to give you an idea of what you can get for it.

Maybe I'm confused, but, are you guys talking about selling your OEM used rotors, the ones with a tendency to 'splode? Or are these simply good used units which should be fine?

Yeah, we are talking about selling the ones that might explode but are in good shape.Pretty sure the person that bought me sells used moto parts.
