Processor will matter as well, I run win 10 on a surface but sprung for the 16gig model with the i7 so I won't need to shop again for a good long while. My wife has one with 8 gigs and an i5 and it's not bad but noticeably slower. A 4 gig model would be a web surfer for the most part I would think but I haven't played with one enough to say for sure.

Since everything is of ROC manufacture, I would define the intended use and see if the processor can perform those. Off brand displays are usually good for a year, 90 day warranty and zero support. Major makers tend to use better components, always variables with each price point.

I bought a Dell Windows 8.1 now running W10. Works for me For books and movies I like my Kindle.
This is a "whatca gonna do" question.

I've looked at Chinese tablets a couple times. Mostly if they are higher specification and you need that cost approaches name brand products. Watch out for cheap displays and last generation parts and specs.

The Surface has become serious. Asus, Lonovo come to mind. Dell and HP.

With as affordable as tablets have become, I can't justify taking a gamble on a no-namer, unless it's under $100 for some seriously competitive specs!

re tablet

Right now I have a HP Touchpad running andriod 6.0 no complaints except the battery is going to die one of these days. It has been a great for videos and E- mail . it has been supported with updates. My feeling - I am looking for dual cameras and ram.
Many thanks, eveyone for the replys. I feel tunnel vision is bad
