Back in paradise (well Fayetteville at least). After I gave the wife and kids the weekend of undivided attention, I started sneaking out to the garage for a little FZ1 TLC. She is getting a heart transplant and then going on the market because she can't come to Japan with us. I'm going to try and sneak away on a couple road trips before we move.

Glad you made it home safely! That was an excellent write up! Don't forget to talk to your friends about your time over there! It is amazing how much it helps just talking about the crap we have gone through! Enjoy your bike before you PCS to Japan! I only have one more PCS before retirement and my bike will go with me no matter what! :-)

Hmm... I spent a wee bit of time down there northwest of Fayettville. If you want to keep the FZ, let me know and I can find room in the shed until you come back. Kinda' seems the Army way to me.

Very cool write up. Don't know about the others, but it kinda choked me up at the end.

Welcome home and thanks for your continuing service!

Just didn't want this thread to disappear into oblivion.

Thanks for sharing a great read about your time doing something that many will never be able to comprehend. Welcome home and Thank You for your service (I was in from '92 - '99.) If you ever get the time, let me know and I will meet you and Sky Pilot over that way for lunch, on me of course.

Thanks for the offer. I am giving it to my friend to make sure and keep her on the road and to keep the carbon off the valves.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. It was really theraputic to write about what was going on and to have such a positive response from you all while it was all happening. This is a great forum with great people.

I hope you all have a great memorial day.
