That didnít end well for your guys.

Giants took 2/3 from the team with the worst record.

So Iíve got that going for me. Which is nice.

Yeah, that was very telling.
Fortunately I got interrupted and missed the 8th inning carnage yesterday.
The Phillies are not ready to compete against the five best teams in baseball. Hopefully they learned and can adapt. The Bullpen is still wounded and hurting. Velasquez pitch selection is questionable, don't know if is him or Realmuto making more decisions. The Jay Bruce deal is a minimal adaptation.
The use of a 2 inning lefty opener sort of worked, but Cole Irvin still couldn't go the distance.
Maybe the Phillies can find some prospect(s) for Madison Bumgarner.

Stupid Mets.

Syndagard goes 6 2/3 with 3 earned. It’s 3-3 He’s handling the giants well.

Uh oh!! He’s thrown 103 pitches so he’s done!!!!

Whoever the Mets manager is switches to the garbage Mets bullpen. Both giants commentators mention this.

Mets pen gives up 6 runs and gets blow out.

Lol.

Baseball.

Go figure. Kershaw hasn’t lost a game since last July. And the giants just handed him a loss. 2-1.

Only 16 back now!!!

So you're saying there's a chance?

Wow did I underestimate him! The Phils would have lost 7 straight without him.
He's doing his best Nick Foles impersonation.

And its hard to win a game, when the pitcher walks in two runs, as the Giants did in the game, last night. It was only two runs, but still not good.

Still another game today that i will watch after my Sunday motorbike breakfast and ride with the Santa Cruz lads. A very quiet rider will join us, also.

Going to be a very warm day here. Great day for a ride!

Dodgers won the game today against the Giants, but not by much. 1-0.

I just read that David Ortiz was shot in the back at a night club in the DR but is stable and will recover. I am happy that he will recover, he seemed like one of the good guys. He hit more HRs against the Jays than any other player ever but it is hard not to like the big guy.

Yeah, a robbery attempt. Sounds like the Red Sox want to get him out of there.

Might have been a Jealous Ex in the big Papi shooting, not a robbery.

Warm, early rain, lots of humidity tonight.
But the ball was flying out. 13HRs in the game, new MLB record.

Giants have one of the best closers in the game in Will Smith.

They paid 60 something million for Melancen who has been a fiasco since day one. Yah, injuries etc were an issue early on but now he’s just a mess. 60 mill. Fvking hell.

Betting that Smith gets traded before the deadline as well as Moronta who is another excellent setup guy.

Oh yah. And Bum will be traded too. I hate to see it but It makes sense. He’s s free agent next year so get what you can for him now. It’s s total rebuild situation so bring it on!!

Wouldn't it depend on the contract Smith has?
There is no upside to trade a good young player under contract, when that is the goal of getting prospects.
The Phillies just traded for an infielder they don't need. Makes me wonder if they plan to trade a minor leaguer before the deadline.
I just don't know who, maybe AA 1st Baseman.

He's a free agent next year. I'm betting a playoff team would love to have him. I also think Zaidi wants to get a real out fielder or two.

I dunno. As usual it's impossible to predict and as fans we have zero knowledge of whats going on or what they're thinking.

The Phillies have had 3 different outfielders up from the minors. Plus Nick Williams is a Starter level outfielder that most expected to be traded before the season began. That could the bait for Bumgarner.

Looking at Minor Leagues rosters is weird.
The Reading Phils have four 3rd baseman and only one 1st and 2nd baseman.
