There's one of them right here on this board! Swears that the bike was given to us exactly as the Yamaha gods intended, and a jet-kit, or different pipe, or non-OEM tires are all counter-intuitive to the enjoyment of these machines.

Per the owners manual revs are not supposed to be over 6k. One must abide by said procedures your 50 lashings will be given.

Sadly some sap will pay $5k for that

OK look, to be fair, if you know how CL works, you know there will always be low-ballers..

I had a go-kart to sell. Side-by-side with a fairly decent engine. Wanted $250 - stupid me, that's what I listed it for.

After a week of saying no to offers around $150, I deleted the listing.

Two weeks later, I listed it for $400, and accepted the first low-ball offer of $250 the same day!

Some would rather take 50 lashes

Some one who writes an add like that thinks it’s worth as much as he is asking.

And don’t tempt me with a good time.

Also you are supposed to downshift all the gears at 25 mph. I swear, it’s in the manual.

Seriously? The manual tells you how to find the neutral hiding between 5th & 6th? I guess that could help the folk with weak left hands, when coasting down long grades...

Joe

I always downshift from top gear to second, sometimes first gear.......that always puts it right in the middle of the powerband........

It helps if you just let go of the clutch instead of "ease" into it. Zing baby ZING........ damn the lockup....
