Alas, the joke is played on FIZBANG

Sadness rules the day. Just quit my job. Tears running down this joker's face for a change. The SOB I worked for over 6 years finally went too far. The history is long and sordid but one of the many dirty deals I've been in on went bad. The SOB had to rent guard dogs at night to protect the place from a guy worse than us and the dogs mangled my poor, poor BooBoo Kitty. I raised that scraggly, little, one-eyed junkyard kitten from day one. She's in the vet's hospital now.

Found her covered in blood. Took a step and keeled over.

Man, sometimes life hands the jokers of this world a good kick in the groin.

Sorry to be serious - for a change - but just had to vent on a really, really shitty day.

Later,
Murph

Hey Murph. Sorry about your situation. If you want some company let me know and we can meet up tonight and compare notes on how the world is treating us.

Hang in there, Murph.

Props on quitting the job, though. Doesn't sound like it was exactly the right fit for ya, bud.

Sorry to read that Murph, we can get really attached to our pets and when something goes wrong it's heart-wrenching. Hope it all works out ok.

Oh no!! Poor kitty... that just tears my heart out. I have 5 and I can't even imagine how horrible it would be for anything to happen to them.

Sorry about your troubles and your little friend.

Very sorry to hear about your post. Could meet you some where in San Jose and buy you a beer to cheer you up. Give me a shout. 831 425-5705
I met you and a few other folks about six/eight months ago, at the pizza place, if you remember. Feel better, my friend.

I am not one of those macho guys, but I don't think I have cried more than 3 or 4 times since I was 10 years old. When we had to put our family dog who had been with us for 15 years down, I was crying like a baby.

It's the little defenseless things that get under your skin and in your heart. I am guessing this was the last straw with your boss, it couldn't have been just this incident.

Good luck finding a job. I was just laid off for the first time in my life, so I am feeling your pain. Hope you don't have a whole family depending on you (I do).

+1 on that. I had to put down my pup of about 13 years not all that long ago. Worst part was that his mind was still sharp -- body just gave out. I made it a point to be in the room, and that was probably the right thing -- he'd've been right there at my side if it was me, after all.

I was a blubbering mess on the ride to the vet, and during the wait. I was pretty strong during in the room, trying to keep him comfortable. And afterwards, I just kind of felt numb.

Hang in there, Murph.
