Jakewilson.com is no more

It is now https://www.ridersdomain.com/ / but they still do cash back via RD Cash (used to be JW cash) and jakewilson.com routes you to https://www.ridersdomain.com/ anyways. Seems like they are coming up in the world. Will continue to use them, the cash back is useful, even with only a modest amount of necessary products/tires, I had like 35$ off my last purchase of tires.

Well they aren't now and I conversed a lot with JW and never got another company. Either way, top notch service. They had a item backordered and it ended up taking about 12 days to get to me, they issued me a $20 credit for the delay.

They're still the same company and yes it's part of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. Nothing mysterious or negative about that. Buy the majority of my tires from them.

Their newsite looks all black/grey modern chic. Kinda sleek. Name can change as long as their customer service and great prices and cash back continues

I've bought a couple tires from them at this point and they have the best price. Their new website's login page doesn't work for me though. Once I've logged in once and logged out, the "I am not a robot" box stops appearing and I can't log in. I emailed them about it, they sent me a document that explains how to clear the cookies in my browser. There are easier ways to get around it that clearing the cookies every time I want to log in

Bad move.

A brand name is a terrible thing to waste. The only reason you'd dump it is if it was poisoned beyond repair.

They don't realize what they've done. Changed the name, look and feel. They've essentially started a new company with no brand equity.

I somewhat agree. What's the current name of the company that used to be called "Bearing Inc." ?

I don't think the name was changed because the old name was poisoned, but to reflect their current product line. Either way, I feel they lost recognition.

Yup. They had a unique, easy to remember name. Now it's yet another Internet type name that swirls among all the others.

I have no allegiance, but I've bought more tires from JW than anywhere else because their prices were typically better than anyone else (and I change my own)..

I really don't care "who" I'm ordering from when it comes from online sites, although the next time I need tires, I'm going to check with PJ first. That's different!

I can agree to this somewhat. How much longer will Jakewilson.com continue to forward you to the new site? When they lose that domain, I think they'll lose customers

Maybe when the unaware heard JW, they wondered what the hell it has to do with motorcycles?

Well, newenough.com still points you to motorcyclegear.com so they can just keep the old domain pointing to the new one for as long as they want to pay for it.

No big deal on the name change. They had good prices before. I know of people in a crunch that got well taken care of by Rocky Mt. I could care less what the name is. If they keep offering good prices and good service, I'll keep going there.

This, and they've already paid for a few years so at least till then or someone screws up which does happen occasionally

They had a different name initially (for a year), then changed to Jake Wilson, and at first (and still somewhat), they didn't like to admit they they are really Rocky Mountain, as they sell themselves to shops as a distributor, then compete against those same shops under a different name.

It's frustrating to order a load of tires from them with our dealer account, then have customer order tires from them at less that we get them, under some "special" at Jake Wilson.

I think that they started doing this when the economy tanked and sales were down, so they created it for direct sales to increase their profit and found out that they could make money and they keep doing it..
