Yes it’s going to be hard for John to pull through, but he’s already beaten cancer, or at least living with it. They had to to take a huge chunk out of his neck a few years ago. John Prine is an American treasure. We all go sometime, but I’m praying that John gets to live through this, and write some awesome songs about it.

Sam9, That was really an informative post above where you reference the doctor from Nola. Thank you for posting that. Skip

Yes, itís impossible to read that and still take it lightly. Itís not the end of the world, but it is a very sad thing.

At first I was wondering if it was possible for those doctors to have already treated so many Covid 19 patients, but the numbers especially deaths are high in Louisiana. Most blame the Mardi Gras for the fast transmissions. That would make sense that NO would be the epicenter. But how many visitors took it home?

His wife died from cancer a year ago March 8th, they leave behind a 17 year old son and 14 year old daughter.
He hadn't been in the best of health since his wife died, lots of stress but nothing I would have thought could have led to his death.
He ended up having 7 tests and 6 came back negative for the virus but his doctors said he had crystalizing in his lungs and were sure it was corona, then the 7th test came back positive the day before they took him off the ventilator and he passed.
He wasn't a bike guy but we shared a passion for trap shooting and guns.
Really sorry about your friend. I just read this article earlier today about the first COVID death in Indiana.

Poor guy didnít even get a video goodbye.

It upsets me to hear criticism of the executive office as 20/20 hindsight.

As I mentioned, my wife has an immune deficiency and asthma so I bought a box of 10 N95 masks in January. The Department of HHS didn’t submit a tender for masks until MARCH.

I’m not a PhD pandemic expert or federal agency head but was just a lowly Hospital Corpsman with experience in Navy Medicine.

If I could see it....

Unfortunately when you have someone making decisions based on perceived personal benefit and not public health, you may not see expert advice heeded or the best actions taken.

Thanks, now I know you like to sniff your wife's undies. That's way more information than I needed today.

I'm going with "With Don't Bury Me" myself. It will be a sushi and beer memorial over my ashes anyway after they donate all the left over parts.

Abbott has FDA approval for a 5 minute test, and Johnson & Johnson has a vaccine candidate that is expected to be available in early 2021, with early human testing to start in September, which would be good timing in the event the virus makes another run at us in the Fall/Winter.

Big pharma to the rescue! Wait! I hate those money grubbing bastards. Oh well, can put that aside in this case.
