Corona (not beer)

Would you wear a mask? Have you ordered any masks, yet?
I'm a bit of a germafobe, so these types of pandemics worry me.

https://www.foxnews.com/health/dr-oz...outbreak-china

I'm not a fan of Dr. OZ or Ozzie Osborn for that matter, but regardless the underlying problem is still heading our way.

Some of the comments (un proven rumors) about China hiding the number of fatalities is worrisome as well. The other interesting article I read said CDC has been working on a cure for months which suggest they and World Health have known for some time about the seriousness.

Saw a video clip from a China airport showing a scene. Three technicians were watching monitors that displayed the body temperature of passengers as they walked down the corridor. They didn't show what happens to those that have elevated temps.

Shouldn't it have been named the ‎Tsingtao virus? This whole Corona thing is just confusing.

Wonder if they make a mask with a quickly resealable beer bottle (pie) hole in it.

All of our tactical masks incorporate a protected drinking system that connects to a canteen or Camelbak style hydration bladder. Easy enough to make an adapter that will interface to the container of choice.

NYT had good coverage on this story thanks for the link.

In general I can't see most of their "stories" without a subscription.

I prefer not to pay for slant (left or right), but I'll read most peoples ideas / propaganda when presented for free. Again thanks for the well written link.

Dr Oz is a quack and a grifter. Don’t listen to anything he says.

There is one report of person in the US having it. Not quite time to start wearing masks just to leave the house.

Also note that this is just one strain of Coronavirus.

I don't know...he's only 225 miles from me, so I might start wearing a mask, even at home. One can't be too careful!

The one person in the States (Seattle) had close contact with 16 friends here before discovering he was infected.

Supposedly patient zero and his 16 friends are now being watched as well. Not sure who watching the watchers, but I wish them all well, whether they the read NYT or watch Fox its gotta be concerning.

I'd post the link but I haven't checked who owns it.

The Fox links usually jam up my device or computer, so that is the main reason I donít like to click them. I admitt, there are other reasons.

I wouldn't know if mine jams up.

Dr Oz is one notch higher than the health babe.

A neighbor died of flu complications just the other day. She was 70.

This probably isn't the best time for me to be reading a book about the Spanish Flu.

I don't worry about it too much. Take the normal precautions and wash your hands a lot. Who knows where the hype ends and reason starts? There are a lot of other threats that are much more likely to get you than this one. From what I read it is serious but rarely fatal unless you are in a weakened condition.
