Picked it up from the shop. Had the front brake calipers and piston cleaned and SS lines installed with HH pads.

I didn't mind the progressive feel of the stock lines but man, this is an improvement!!! Def need some SS lines on the track bike. Can't believe I did 34K miles on stock lines

The lights look great. However, the wiring loom is bulky. You need to be prepared to to some serious routing and wire tucking. Also, they have an ebay store that sells them a couple bucks cheaper and includes free shipping. Just remember, the wiring loom isnt nice and clean like some of the retrofit sources are. It's a much easier install though.

Rode 801 miles and about 13 hours from Dallas to St Louis and hit lots of twisties in Arkansas. Man am I tired. Borrowed a Corbin for this trip and it's better than stock but so hard. Averaged 46 MPG.glad to see the spark plug change paying off

That's a lot of riding - you can get IBA certificates for 1000 miles in 24hrs..

I've thought about it, done 2 800+ mile days in the last year. One day I'll follow the guidelines and get the certificate

Got home from work, sat down and leered at the whole herd. Drank a BIG glass of wine and relaxed. Still trying to decide on putting the retro kit on the 09 or the Daryl bike.
Realized that I have not touched the FZR1k in almost a month. Bodywork came in and I haven't even tried to fit it.

Sigh.............

Rode to Hagerstown for a couple business meetings. Intended to stay over. Wrapped up my work by 6:10pm so decided to ride home. 5:00 am departure, 9 hour work day, and home by 10:10 pm. 572 miles all told - 8:20 time on the bike including all gas and coffee stops.

Yoshi Fender Eliminator with S1000RR signals

So today I finished installing the yoshi fender eliminator. My bike used to have the copperdawg fender eliminator and integrated led tail (previous owner must really like copperdawg). Went back to stock on the tail light this morning and installed the s1000rr signals, courtesy of my friend who works at BMW.
Now my bike is legal again with actual turn signals and a license plate light!

I also had a coil that was going bad (misfire at low rpm). Took each spark plug out to inspect and sure enough, plug #3 was more black than the others, swapped that coil, no more problem.

Well I tried the Shinko 009's. Yes Yes say what you will.... New tires were a Christmas gift from my parents, and I didn't want to go crazy on the cost, plus I got lured in by all the great reviews.

Anyway I had a front end vibration between about 35-45 mph very annoying in town, higher speed was "ok". Put about 500 miles on and no better so I put a BT016 on the front. Vibration is gone and bike just "feels" better. I will leave the 009 rear on for now.
