Heads up on EBC EPFA380HH Pads

Amazon has a few sets of EBC EPFA380HH brake pads for sale for about $36 per rotor. I have been watching these for the past week and a half and the price has been dropping. They started out around 50 bucks for two pads and have been steadily dropping. I pulled the trigger on mine today, but I think the price will continue to drop.
I have used these on my Superhawk and they are really, really good pads. Comparable to the Vesrah RJL pads and a definite step up from OEM pads or the regular EBC HH.
These pads will fit many other Yamaha models as well.

Gen 1. They fit. From my research pad dimensions are the same as 252s, but without the shims.

With the EPFA pads? If so, that's an excellent deal.

I just checked. That's for regular HH pads.

Yes. In fact Amazon says they won't work on a Gen 1, but they will. Amazon's product info is wrong very often.

Aren’t the front pads the same on the two generations?

Yeah, but EBC has two different part numbers for their pads for some reason. I believe the difference is the shim backing plate, which is included in the ones for the Gen 1 and not on the Gen 2. I never have noticed any difference in pads with or without the shims.
The Ferodo catalog is much help in sorting this all out, with all kinds of cross referencing and dimensional illustrations.
