Oh that's the padres being the padres. Except when they play San Fran.

Here the Cutch walk off. It was a 12 pitch AB as well.

Good game tonight to get back to .500. Phils break up a Homer Bailey no-hitter in the sixth to tie the game. Add one in the seventh. Aaron Nola goes 8 innings. Scott Kingery gets a grand slam for his second career homer. Kingery would still be in the minors for the beginning of this season if he hadn't signed an insanely long deal making his official rookie year irrelevant.

Well, Angels are off to their best start in god knows how long. 9-3, tied with the Mets, Astros, and Red Sox for most wins so far. The season is still very early, but they've got a good bit going in the right direction. Ohtani exceeding expectations through his first 2 starts, and his games as DH. Only 3 starting pitchers on the DL, though 1 should be back for tomorrow, and another is going to have TJ surgery. The offense has been hitting well, and taking advantage of mistakes.

I get the feeling Angels and Mets will be in the World Series, they both look like finally got it all working as they hoped for.

Ohtani has certainly surprised many. Giants will face them and probably him starting next week.

Giants entire starting rotation on the DL now.

MLB debut start for their #1 pick last night, and today another first timer.

They are something like 3-61 with RISP, and somehow only 2.5 games back.

Cutch had another walk off hit last night. He might be a pretty good player.

Now watch a brawl for some fun.

The Tribe can't hit but pitching is keeping things afloat. Cy Young Klubot's last 26 regular season starts:

189.1 IP
27 BB
251 SO
1.62 ERA

Giants can't ever hit home runs at home. People clamor "Bring in the fences!!"

Other teams show up, hit bombs galore.

Rookie pitching a gem today. 7 K's in 4 innings. But of course 2 homers. Giants down 3-0

Better brawl at Fenway last night. It was worth it.

Is it too early to see who is in the #1 wildcard spot in the NL?

Good grief! 6 postponed games today. Three yesterday. And White Sox twins haven’t played 3 games in a row. Wow. I don’t recall ever seeing this crazy stuff before.

Angels-Royals game is postponed, which sucks... They're on a 7-game win-streak and I'd be bummed to see their momentum get thrown off from a 2-day layover. Anyways, Ohtani still scheduled to start the next game, Tuesday at home, against their front running competitors, Boston.

In Atlanta #3 in R/G at 5.86
for 3 game series, should be some action.

The Jays are 11 - 5 which once again demonstrates the complete unpredictability of baseball. The big guns are gone and they made modest off season moves and are on paper far from the excellent teams of the last few years. Then they go out and have the best start in many years.

I watched the last few innings of the Jays Yanks last night. The Jays were creeping in on them and then Aroldis Chapman comes in to pitch the 9th. That guy is inhuman. He struck out the side and I think the only contact was a foul ball. The last pitch of the game was 101 mph but they were all up there. What is really unfair is that he also threw a few 85 mph curves.

Yeah I watched him pitch about 7 straight pitches at 102-104 for the Reds a few years back, all with good location. A 94 mph pitch is like a change up. Sometimes he struggles with location, but he is not human.

The Phillies and Braves have been playing each other so much, it's been hard to Judge how good they are. But if last night was an indication, the Phillies shutout the surging Pirates, and the Braves manhandled the division leading Mets.
