Do you increase the pre-load for 2Up?

You don't need to be 2 up to grind the pegs:

Why are you not removeing the feelers?
Get Satans R1 adapter & R1 shock where you can add some ride ht adjustment to the clevis. Get a 190/55 tire.

Well, Not sure that I agree with your logic.

Your obviously "getting a feel for it" when your grinding the feelers. With the feelers removed, the pegs will still fold up. It might be better for to remove them.

But, whatever works for ya .

+1 on removing the feelers.

More than likely you should change your body positioning. Lean your body more so your bike doesn't have to. That way if you have an oh crap moment you have more contact patch at your disposal to avoid the situation.

agree with mrh learn better body position and riding skills and you should rail without grinding pegs. If you are still grinding the pegs then a suspension upgrade is most likely your best bet...

Grinding your pegs is an ALERT!! your close to going down not much left...

I'm leaning off pleanty arse off body off and don't really have a problem on my own, just 2 up (like I say in original post) I'm changing the spring for now as I can't aford an ohlins (I work for ohlins) So maybe that will be the problem solver

And I know pegs down are an alert and that's why I still have the feelers on

The Gen II is lean angle limited compared to a SS. A rider with good technique on a SS can turn faster at steeper angles (max vs max) vs the Gen II. I have aftermarket rearsets and this did it for me in addition to adjusting body position. I have more lean angle on my left than my right since the right side will drag exhaust before peg now.

Fix for you? Depends. Being 2 up of course increases the amount of lean angle you need to make the same turn at the same speed and entry point, but I think the peg clearance will probably make a bigger impact than the spring. Let's say your bike squats in a turn 2 inches more two up. 2 inches of squat further down equates to much less difference in peg to road clearance, the steeper the lean the ratio of squat>peg/ground clearance actually makes it have a lesser impact.

Might also help to have your passenger look over your inside shoulder and move a bit of mass off center on the passenger seat too. Really though dragging peg is a culmination of factors and not any one thing specifically.

My dead grandmother could drag peg feeler on an FZ1.

Seriously, I removed the feg feelers for safety. Imagine you cruising along and have to turn harder than you expected and that peg feels drops into a crack in the road. Ouch! I ride 2-up with my wife often. Together with gear we are at about 300lbs. I had no issues with the stock shock spring. It's just that the shock does not have enough compression damping.

I would grind mine all the time until I removed feelers and set the Sag. Once that was completed, no more issues. Start there first.

Blind spots right ,it's just the stock shock with an adapter platform as the stock spring is tapered from a 2" to 2.25" I think I mentiond I work for öhlins also have a machine shop so all in all it cost me £30 to change the spring

Making my own damper at some point will be slightly diff to the 2 way öhlins with a remote Rez for a start it will be 3 way or 4 way if I can get a ttx to fit
