Pics in Classifieds

This is about the only forum I frequent that doesn't have posting requirements for classifieds, at least not that I have seen.

I would like to suggest making it a requirement that pics of items being sold are posted within a day or 2 or the OP making the thread or it get removed.

It's very annoying when someone posts an interesting item and will only email pics or doesn't have any and the thread gets a bunch of pic requests. They should really be there from the get go.

There's a lot of people who don't know how to post pics - not everyone is technical, or even has a way to take electronic pictures. I know, in this day and age, and all that..
Hence my sticky in Posting Tests - http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=113784
Desmo put a video in there as well.

I still think it should be required. A link to your thread there could be placed into the classifieds forum and stickied to make sure there is no excuse. Honestly, I think it's just good manners. If you are going to sell something, show what it is as a description doesn't always show the whole picture.

Not gonna happen. If they don't want to post a pic or can't figure it out there's no reason to delete the post.

Pics are great so I can ogle and drool over parts and bikes for sale...But I don't think they should be mandatory.

Usually there is some grace period and the poster gets warned before hand. Either way, just a suggestion.

Whatever Wolfy. It was a suggestion, not whining. Keeps the trolls and scammers at bay and works well on other forums.

I'm sure your requested rule will be implemented the next time the forum software is updated.

We have really never had issues with trolls or scammers. I think in 10 plus years anew could count them on one hand. And I think some of them posted pix so....

I'm reminded for no good reason about a sign at the brewpub I lived at during the late 80s that had a sign at the bar that said "Free beer tomorrow"

I think we'll put a sign up saying "Software update tomorrow"

Hey, another reason you couldn't require them - there are quite a few members here that access the forums using mobile devices and tablets that don't have picture upload capability..

That doesn't mean you couldn't require them.

But I really don't care about classified regulations other than the unofficial ban on thread-crapping.
