Demon Shield...?

Is anyone running or had experience with the Demon Shield as discussed in iowaz' fz1 site?

http://www.angelfire.com/ia/z/FZ1shield.htm

Looks like it might be very good for long days by eliminating the wind to the head...comments? (Other than it looks odd...)
