Belive it or not

I just saw my first Gen I FZ1 in person (other than my own) today. Much, much cleaner than what resides in my garage.

I've lived a sheltered life

and believe it or not I actually do know how to spell believe, but not how to edit titles

I remember when I was riding up to the Arkansas Rally last year and my GPS was having some problems finding the hotel. I came around a curve in the road and saw about 20 FZ1's on my right hand side. LOL Quite a sight

I'm already booked for the rally, it'll definitely be funny to see more than 1 FZ1 around

I was just thinking that this is actually the second Gen I I've seen. A buddy had a for a few weeks and I got to look at once before he got rid of it due to health problems. At the time I wasn't interested in anything faster than my Nighthawk. He's the one that pointed me towards the FZ1 when it was time to upgrade.

That bike has no radiator guards....like mine. I see a few gen 1's from time to time out here. I can only guess that they are very intelligent folks with apt riding skills and a penchant for affordable canned beer.

Yup, I was surprised at the Arkansas meet. I figured there'd be a ton of G2's and a hanfull of G1's but we on the G1's far outnumbered the newer bike.

Funny thing, I got transferred to another ship in Pearl Harbor and, to my surprise, one of the young, new, ensigns had a blue 04 FZ1, he had quite a story to go with it too.... Not too many of either generation here on Oahu. It was a kick to see another FZ1 in the bike parking zone.
