Just to update.. I didn't get as much done this summer as I wanted to, because life got in the way.. And we wanted the shop done before winter, so I've made a couple of 5 day trips in the last 2 weeks to get it done - We're really close with the shop, Mostly trim work and some painting/Window Glazing left, and we'll be having new windows put in the office space - I love the steel casements, but they just aren't practical.

Office Coming together:

It gets color: the Floor will get laminate flooring, while the Warehouse will have a painted floor.

Warehouse getting it's ceiling:

Our new refurbished 1940's light Paige found and refinished for the mancave - we've got 6 of them for the mancave, and this one is on a motion sensor for when you enter:

More of the warehouse coming together:

Refinishing the Loading Dock doors:

I wich I had taken more pics along the way.. But I thought some of you might enjoy seeing the progress.

Get 'er done ! I know the hard work will pay off, always does.

The cool bathtub is worth some $$ in certain circles here but weighs a ton, awesome parts washer or a place to soak while doing customer service call backs.

Good luck man.

Thanks - that one is already refinished, and will go in the Bathroom that I'll start remodeling shortly.. and yes, it does weight a ton!

I have a MAME cab in my garage. We love it. Plays all the old school games and doubles as a juke box.

I've been remiss to keep this thread updated - working and remodeling have been taking much of my online play time.. So I'll post up a bunch to try to catch up..

Back in November we had new Windows put in our office space to improve the looks and make it a little more efficient to heat and cool:

Then we moved to the inside work for the winter.. The Following pics won't be in correct order, But you'll get the idea.. the Kitchen/livingroom/bedroom/Bathroom all got done concurrently.

We removed the 2 doors into the kitchen, opening up the wall into one large opening (with a new header), for a more open plan.. and we removed the paneling and chair rail and put in drywall, replaced the old insulation on the exterior walls in this part of the house, (you can use the link in the first post to see what itr looked like at first)

The Master bath and laundry room were two narrow rooms off of the bedroom, with the doors swinging into the bedroom costing us floor space..

I built a nook in the Mud Room to stack the washer and dryer, removed the wall between the two, and we had a pocket door put in and did all the wiring/plumbing/drywall/finish work ourselves..

The tub is a real Clawfoot salvaged from a building here in KY.. Paige needs to find her dressing table for the room and we need to mount the Shower curtain and ceiling light, and this room is done..

She's also been doing alll of the finish drywall work (I suck at the finishing part), and she's almost got all of the Bedroom and livingroom ready for paint.. and the flooring will be done at the same time as we finish the kitchen.. I'm doing demo/plumbing/electrical/drywall, and the rest is the Kitchen designer and Minx. I've got the Plaster and Lathing removed, and removed 16 feet of 48" chimney and got the new subloor in.. that was a week of HARD word..

The plaster and lathing was 1500 punds to the landfill over 3 days as I beat it all out:

This is in the attic after I removed the first couple of feet:

And then down into the kitchen:

and the new Subfloor:

That same week I went and picked up and old (1965) pool table that needed refelting and staged it in the mancave...

The Pool table is recovered as of last week, and I made a few more improvements I haven't taken pics of in the mancave..

And then I removed the brick and Concrete slab porch.. The first pic is after the stairs and railing were removed.. I had 1900 pounds loaded in the truck that night to go to the landfill..

And this week the Deck was done.. we paid for it to be done, and I helped with it.. It only took 4 days that way. The Gates are spring loaded closed to keep the dogs in, but they've got stairs directly into the back yard (that we fenced last year).

And today before I came back to KY.. I had to go to the Gap for lunch.. and this seemd like a good pic.

We're getting close to having it ready to move into.. Paige has really been working on the design and getting things lined up - the Appliances will be here in about 2 weeks, and the cabinets should be ordered by then.. and I hope to be sitting in our house soon not worrying about what work I have to get done that day.. There are a couple of rooms we aren't touching till next winter, but those are easy, just removing plaster and rewiring/Drywall/Flooring..

Fantastic!

Lathe and plaster is no fun to demo, and it is heavy stuff. Having gone through that, I feel your pain.

You guys are doing a great job!

I can't believe all the work you have done and it's going to be so nice. Just the imagination to figure it all out!

I love the new deck, really improves the place so much.

Very nice place you've got going there!
Took the chimney out - it looks like. Simple - but hard work!
And refelting the pool table!? A new skill you developed? The end result looks like new!
You should be proud of it all. I know I would be!

And the deck! It really looks good and ties the place together! Brings a modern look to the two buildings.

Congratulations on some very nice work!!

The refelting was done by a friend, but I did pick up the knowledge to do it.. I don't know if I'll ever volunteer that knowledge, but I could.

I am really happy with how the deck updated the place, and it's perfect as far as function, too.

Another update with some pics.. we're rocking along..

Stella likes the new deck, her she's modeling her bathrobe after a bath..

The Kitchen wiring is complete, and the structure is in for the corner cabinets. The Cooktop will be in that corner, so it gets the extra light..

And the drywall is in.. Paige is there this week doing the Drywall finishing..

Our Appliances arrived Yesterday, the Cabinets and counters are ordered, and the two Copper farm style sinks arrived... Now there's lots of waiting for the cabinets to be ready in another 5 weeks.. The new window will go in in about 2 weeks.
