Drinking today

Is anyone else drinking today? Sometimes the day-drunk thing is the best! Cheers!

Probably have a beer or two at dinner in San Jose, this early evening. Going to pop by Cycle Gear first, to see what they have on sale. My current rear tire, is almost gone.

what kind of tire do you plan on replacing it with? but, more importantly, what kind of beer are you gonna have?

Don't know. Just will see what they have on sale.
About a year and a half ago, i picked up a front Dunlop 220 for $29.95, brand new! They had two of them, and i should have picked both of them up.
As slow as i ride anymore, i don't have to have the latest/greatest tires on the ol' FZ1, 2002 black bomber. Right now, i actually have matched tires on the device. 220 front and rear. Most times, i have one brand on the front, and another brand on the rear. I use name brand tires, and i really cannot tell the difference, between most of them! lol! They all seem to work on the bike, way well.
As for the beer, the host usually has Pacifico in bottles, and she has a lime tree, out back. So, mexican beer, with fresh lime juice. Can't be bad. lol!

The beer turned out to Beck's and Heineken. Had one of each only, as i was driving over the hill, back to Santa Cruz County, this evening.
On the rear tire front, i was nosing around the tire racks at Cycle Gear in San Jose this late afternoon, and found a BT016 180/55/17 Bridgestone, on clearance sale. Said tire has a small, and i mean small tear, on the inside of the tire bead. Nothing that will prevent the tire from seating/sealing on the wheel well.
Yep, said the salesperson, we cannot sell that tire for brand new. The tire had been sitting there for almost two months, and was marked down to $56.24! The tire was made just last Oct.
Hmm, said yours truly, i think i can use that tire. So with sales tax, yet another $60.66 i will never see again!!!!!
So, new rear tire we now have. Now i know i will burn that sucker up in about 3K miles as i have put one of those on my 2002 FZ1 before, but boy i know that tire will stick, in the twisties! Now all i have to do, is find somebody who knows how to ride a bike fast, and enjoy the sticky tire!!! lol!

Not much of a drinker I guess. A 6-pack of beer will last months.

For us, it's easier to say when we aren't drinking. Right now, for a while, I'm sober.

Yesterday was a day of sin: beer, wine, dessert, sausage and cheese.
