DL1000 fork problem

I just installed Sonic Spring in my DL1000's forks. I had to tighten the preload adjuster all the way in in order to tighten the nut under the fork caps. Now I can't move my preload adjusters; they are all the way in. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you installed the fork caps on the dampening rod incorrectly.

I suggest you pull the fork caps and reevaluate...

I'm not sure there are a more knowledgeable group of folks on any other moto-forum. Anyway, I fixed it.

When I installed Sonic springs in my DL1000, I almost overlooked part of the installation instructions where it tells you to leave out one of the OEM spacers.

During the removal of the fork caps from the damping rods I had tightened the preload adjuster to the point that it was impossible to move it with a screwdriver.

Ah ok. Those preload screw driver slots aren't very nice to work with. I remember having issues with those myself on the Vstrom I had. I miss that ugly bike.
